Ho Hum Beads

I've been messing around on the torch making beads, but I haven't been very happy with the results. Either my torch needs cleaning, my gas tank needs purging, or I need to combine different colors of glass. I've made beads with these colors successfully in the past, though. Eh. Oh well. Even a bad day of bead making is better than most days.

And now I have another handful of beads for my dud jar.

I don't know much about beads, but I think they are lovely.

Thanks Leendaluu. There's a lot of brown in these, and I didn't use any brown glass. I was going for brighter colors, so I was disappointed that they ended up "muddy" looking.

I wouldn't use words such as adorable, gorgeous, or lovely but I'll say those beads are COOL.

Aw, thanks you guys! (Jose, LOL!) I guess they just weren't what I was picturing in my head when I was making them, and you never know exactly what they'll look like until they cool off. Expectations. They'll bite you in the butt every time. It's good to learn to let those go in all facets of life. Okay, a glass of wine and I'm all zen and shit. ;-)

I love the browns, even if you didn't plan them. The colors are actually very nice!

I would love to have those teal and brown beads!!! Do you have my address? Just send me the whole dud jar.

Seriously, I think those are beautiful. Maybe not what you were expecting, but that is how a lot of art happens.

You see muddy. I see earthy!

*Gasps* I love the earth tones in the beads! They would be gorgeous with the round gold metallic beads, or even pearls.

If this beads pictured are duds then I would certainly take a jar full any day.

I love those bottom three... and the top two are nice too, but the bottom three I would be most pleased to wear. I love the way the colors turned out, so yeah... continue on with that wine to seek zen and shit. ;-)
